Leveling the Death Knight: Starting Zone

Well, I have heard many things about the starting area for the Death Knights, and I have to say, its not too bad after all. I was slightly worried that it would either be way over the top, unlike other areas, or that it would be just as drab and dull as the level 1 experience. Fortunately, Blizzard has done well to mix the experience quite nicely. So far there has been some very normal "collect stuff" quests, some "kill [x] things [y] times," and there have also been some fun event-type quests that are really easy and fun, but add to the story and give you that badass feeling that you want as a death knight.

One thing I absolutely LOVE is that Blizzard GIVES Death Knights the epic ground mount, and they get it before 60. Had they not done this, it would be quite a tragedy, but as it stands, it works just perfectly. Not only that, but its a stinkin' cool mount too.

Next post I'll talk about specs and leveling in a little more detail, but so far the starting area has been quite fun.

So I Made a Death Knight... (aka: I'm another one of those jerks...)

After a 10 month absence, I decided to explore the World (of Warcraft) once more. My background in WoW constitutes of playing for a few years, leveling a mage, hunter and druid up to 70 before Wrath came out. I had a lot of experience in end-game raiding, arenas, and general pvp. I became rather disenchanted with the Burning Crusade in the last few months before Wrath came out, and decided to stop playing, indefinitely.

Well, I couldn't stay away forever, and so I decided to come back and give this Death Knight class a go. Yes I know everyone has one. Yes I know they are overpowered at lower levels, especially with all the nice blue quest gear. Either way, I plan to give them a good hard look, casually leveling and pvping as I go. It may turn into mostly pvping, and then I'll REALLY be "one of those," but hey, I'm gonna have fun doing it.

Since being away from WoW for awhile, I'm very noobish about most things. I don't plan on getting deep into it again though, so I've decided to be content with my "noob" status for now. Feel free to join me on my noobish quest and exploration of this class.
